Postition Description
The Department of Christmas Affairs (DCA) has an opportunity for a dedicated enforcement officer working in our bad gift compliance and corrections section.
Every year, countless people receive terrible Christmas gifts, causing a steep decline in jolliness during the Christmas season. The DCA is responsible for monitoring and, where situations warrant it, taking punitive actions against repeat offenders.
As bad gift enforcement officer you’ll be responsible for implementing the DCA’s anti-bad gift strategic policy at the tactical level, identifying bad gifts and ensuring proper procedures are followed when dealing with both perpetrators and victims.
You’ll also help to manage the bad gift complaint inbox, following up on leads and confirming if a bad gift was given, and determining an appropriate and measured response.
You must be calm under pressure as you’ll often be exposed to harrowing and stressful situations as you investigate the deliberate gifting of inappropriate, regifted or unusable gifts. But you’ll be doing the people of the world a great service as the first line of defence against bad gifts.

Selection Criteria
- Have the ability to work collaboratively and operate effectively in a small team environment that has significant and diverse demands on their time.
- Liaise with senior executives to deliver quality outcomes
- Demonstrated experience in providing accurate, timely and appropriate advice and updates to clients and stakeholders.
- Knowledge of and compliance with the North Pole Government’s Service Standards and Service Design and Delivery Process to deliver outcomes that align to strategic objectives.
